Zurn Corporation originally manufactured a patented backwater valve. Today it manufactures and distributes one of the largest plumbing products packages in the world. 

Zurn’s products include; Specification Drainage Operation, AquaFlush flush valves, AquaSense sensor-operated plumbing products, AquaSpec commercial faucets, Wilkins, Zurn Light Commercial, Flo-Thru, the Chemical Drainage Systems, Zurn PEX Plumbing Systems and Zurn Radiant Heat. This wide variety of products includes manufacturing, assembly, distribution and service of plumbing products and accessories.

Assembling a complete toilet stall takes time and effort. There are many components to a toilet such as the size of the bowl, the capacity of the water tank, the mechanical flush system and other needed.

Zurn customers and salesmen had to thumb through catalogs and price sheets to assemble toilet stalls and accessories. With dozens of dated catalogs, this made the job of putting together a toilet system fairly tedious and time consuming.

To speed up the toilet system configuration flow, Zurn Plumbing Products and Distributed Network Software (DNS) created the ‘ZurnOne’ configurator web application to assist customers and salesman with creating a complete plumbing products assembly.

The configurator, created with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET tools and SQL Server database, allows salesman and customers to create and save many different configurations of plumbing products including, fixtures, faucets, drains, p-traps, supply-lines, trap wrap and other necessary plumbing items. Users can then save their plumbing configuration to use in other quotes or jobs.

The Zurn One configurator attaches price information and submittal sheets to each configuration. Salesman and customers may then ‘Add to Favorites’ to use at another time.

The Zurn One Configurator is a unique tool for salesman and customers. It uses built-in logic to make sure that all kits are configured correctly saving salesman and customers the time it takes to verify each kit. It allows them to spend more time with their customers which increases customer satisfaction as internal efforts are more focused on growth and less on troubleshooting customer quotes.
